Leibniz workshop on data protection and copyright issues relating to research data
11th November 2024 from 11 am to 4 pm at the Headquarters of the Leibniz Association (Berlin) or via online participation (Zoom).
The workshop will be designed and conducted by Franziska Boehm, Head of Intellectual Property Rights at FIZ Karlsruhe – Leibniz Institute for Information Infrastructure, and Fabian Rack, research associate in the same department.
The event is aimed at researchers and research support staff from all Leibniz institutions and offers an introduction to data protection and copyright issues in the context of research data.
You can find the program attached. In addition to introductory impulses, there will also be time for participants to discuss specific cases and questions. You can indicate specific topics or questions on which you would like information and support in advance when registering for the event here. Registration is possible up to and including 18th October.
The presentations will be held in English, however you are welcome to ask questions and discuss in English and German. The on-site participation is limited to 35 people, we therefore kindly ask you to treat your registration as binding and to let us know in good time if you are unable to attend. In addition we offer online participation via Zoom. However, please be aware that online participation will be more passive than on-site, i.e. we will monitor questions in the chat but can’t guarantee same involvement in discussions as on-site.
